The magnetic rear derailleur holder is designed to prevent chain drops after folding and serves as a replacement for the original derailleur holder. It solves the problem of the BIRDY chain and jockey wheel loosening or slipping, reducing the likelihood of chain drops after folding.

Generally, chain drops after folding a BIRDY are caused by the rear derailleur chain and jockey wheel loosening. When you fold your bike, the magnetic rear derailleur holder is attracted to the chain, keeping the jockey wheel and chain stable. When unfolding the frame, the chain immediately releases without causing any damage.

For better results, it is recommended to use it together with a crankset chain tensioner. It is also compatible with Tyrell IVE and, in principle, can be used on any vertically folding bike.
